Katherine is the president of the Advisory Firm of Katherine L Brown, LLC, which is a Registered Investment Advisor in the state of Virginia. Katherine's past experiences bring a wealth of financial expertise to the table. She has worked in finance for over twelve years. In the past she has managed the investor relations department for a real estate company and mortgage lender. Before starting a firm, she worked with two life insurance companies and a financial planning firm. Based on education requirements, experience, and financial planning methods, Katherine is an approved NAPFA-Registered Advisor. She has been a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Planning (NAPFA) since 2005 and has also earned the credentials of Certified Senior Advisor CSA, which aids in her helping clients over the age of 50+ plan in their post retirement years. She holds a Bachelor degree in Biology with a minor in Dance from Stanford University. At the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) she graduated with distinction from the CFP board registered graduate level program, where she earned her Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Certification. Clients can choose to meet annually, quarterly, or even monthly. Most clients that work with Katherine have the option to meet with her as often times as they wish throughout the year. In her spare time Katherine enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is a member of the Junior League of Hampton Roads, which is a community service organization. She has been a member and supporter of the Peninsula Woman's Network since 2005. She and her family attend World Outreach Worship Center in Newport News, VA . She is also an active equestrian and rides both dressage and hunt seat on her property. |
